Multiple charts, linking and saved layouts

Watching several markets or timeframes side by side is often clearer than flipping between them. AlertaChart has 49 layouts, from two charts next to each other to a grid of 16.

Choosing a layout

Press the layout button at the top of the chart and pick a grid. Layouts are grouped by the number of charts. How many charts you can show at once depends on your plan: 1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 4 on Trader, 8 on Pro and 16 on Elite.

Working with several charts

Click a chart to make it active; the symbol search, timeframe and indicator buttons then apply to that chart. Each chart keeps its own symbol, timeframe, chart type and indicators.

Linking charts

Linking keeps charts moving together:

• Symbol: change the symbol on one chart and the others follow
• Timeframe: the same for timeframes
• Crosshair: moving over one chart shows the same moment on the others
• Drawings: charts with the same symbol share their drawings

This is ideal for a top-down view, for example the same coin on weekly, daily, 4-hour and 1-hour charts with the crosshair linked.

Saved layouts (Trader and higher)

A saved layout remembers your whole screen: the grid, the symbol and timeframe of each chart, indicators and their settings, the time zone and linking.

• Save the current screen from the layout menu and give it a name.
• Switch to another saved layout at any time; your current layout is saved first so nothing is lost.
• Press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on Mac) to save quickly.
• The name of the active layout is shown at the top, and changes are saved automatically every few seconds.

Saved layouts follow your account, so the same set-ups are waiting on your other computer.
