Alerta AI
Alerta AI: connect Claude or ChatGPT
Alerta AI connects Claude or ChatGPT to your AlertaChart account. You chat in Claude or ChatGPT as usual, on your own subscription there, and the assistant works with AlertaChart's market data and with your own charts, watchlists, alarms and scripts. Connecting is part of the Pro and Elite plans.
Connecting
Open Connect your AI with the button on the right side of the chart, or go to Account → Connections. The connector address is shown there: https://www.alertachart.com/mcp
- In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the address, then Connect.
- In ChatGPT on the web: turn on Developer mode in Settings, add a new connector and paste the address.
- An AlertaChart page opens. Sign in if asked, read what the assistant will be able to do and press Allow.
Whether you can add your own connector depends on your Claude or ChatGPT plan.
What it can do
- Read your watchlists, the chart open in the app and its drawings, your saved chart layouts, your alarms and your Alerta Practice positions
- Analyze any symbol with AlertaChart's data — crypto, stocks, forex and indices — and scan the market for top gainers, losers and volume spikes
- Read order flow (CVD, open interest, funding, liquidations, footprint and large trades), order books, options and the news
- Read Alerta Chain Lab, the market profile (TPO, volume and delta profiles), order-book walls and icebergs, months of open interest and funding, options chains, greeks and volatility, IPO and split calendars and US macro data
- Draw on your charts: levels, trend lines, Fibonacci, Elliott waves and long or short positions, and lock or unlock drawings
- Open a symbol and timeframe on your screen or on one chart of your layout, add or remove indicators and reset the chart view
- Arrange your charts: change the multi-chart layout, choose what each chart shows and its style (candles, Heikin Ashi, line…) or open one of your saved layouts; AlertaChart offers to undo it right away
- Zoom or scroll the chart, or show the latest bars or a period you name
- Add, remove and organize symbols on your watchlists with sections, flags and favorites
- Set price, percent-move, volume and funding alarms, technical alarms (RSI, MACD, Stochastic and more) that run 24/7, and alarms on the conditions of your own AlertaScript scripts
- Set order-flow alarms on net buying, open interest, funding and liquidations, on one exchange or all of them together
- Write, update and run your own AlertaScript indicators and backtest your strategies
- Place, close and cancel paper trades on Alerta Practice
- Show your plan's limits and how much of them is in use
- Delete your own alarms, watchlists or scripts, only when you ask and name them
What it cannot do
- Change your account or plan, or see your payments
- Trade with real money
- Read the code of protected scripts you bought
- Delete drawings it did not create
Things to ask
- "Analyze the chart on my screen and draw its support and resistance levels."
- "Alert me if BTC falls below 80,000."
- "Split my watchlist into sections by sector and flag the three strongest green."
- "Write an AlertaScript indicator that marks EMA 9/21 crossovers and backtest it on BTC 1h."
Good to know
- Opening a symbol, arranging the charts, changing indicators and resetting the view reach the chart only while AlertaChart is open. Drawings, watchlists, alarms and scripts are saved to your account even when it is closed.
- The alarms it sets keep working while AlertaChart is closed and count toward your plan's alarm limits.
- Name the symbol and timeframe you mean, and check its drawings and alarms before you rely on them.
Disconnecting
Account → Connections lists every connected assistant with the date it was connected and last used. Press Disconnect and it loses access to your account at once.
The assistant gives market information, not investment advice. The final decision is always yours.
