The objective of The Income & Growth VCT plc (formerly TriVest VCT) is to provide investors with an attractive return, by maximising the stream of dividend distributions from the income and capital gains generated by a diverse and carefully selected portfolio of investments. The fund invests in companies at various stages of development. In some instances this includes investments in new and secondary issues of companies which may already be quoted on the Alternative Investment Market (“AiM”) or PLUS. As a multi-manager VCT, the fund has benefited from the combined specialist investment skills and industry knowledge of three independent management teams, Foresight Group LLP, Matrix Private Equity Partners LLP, and Nova Capital Management Limited, each specialising in different sectors of the economy to select its investments. The Company terminated its management agreement with Nova Capital Management Limited by mutual consent with effect from 31 August 2007, and the Board decided that it would be in the best interests of Ordinary Shareholders to change the Company to a dual manager fund at that date. On 31 August 2007, the portfolio of Nova Capital Management Limited was transferred to Foresight Group LLP and Matrix Private Equity Partners LLP in equal proportions.
