Iwatani Corp. engages in the provision of gas and energy services. It operates through the following segments: General Energy, Industrial Gases & Machinery and Materials Business. The General Energy Business segment deals with the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas, petroleum products, kitchen appliances, home energy components, gas canisters and mineral water. The Industrial Gases and Machinery Business segment consists of the air-separation gases, specialty gases, gas-supply facilities, welding materials, manufacturing equipment, pumps and compressors, industrial machinery and facilities, factory automation systems, and environmental equipment. The Materials Business segment offers stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, functional plastic products, electronic display materials, mineral sand, and rare earth metals. Iwatani was founded by Naoji Iwatani on May 5, 1930 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
