Espec Corp. engages in the manufacture and sale of environmental test chambers, energy devices, semiconductors, and flat panel display (FPD) equipment. It operates through the following business segments: Equipment Business, Service Business, and Other Business. The Equipment Business segment provides environmental test chambers, secondary battery-related equipment, measurement and evaluation systems, and semiconductors-related equipment. The Service Business segment deals with after-service and engineering; and laboratory testing services, analysis, calibration, equipment rental and resale. The Other Business segment provides green business services such as plant factories and environmental engineering such as reforestation, waterfront development, and urban greening. The company was founded by Goro Tabai, Toshio Tabai and Eiichi Koyama on July 25, 1947 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
