UIE Plc is a holding company, which engages in investment in the agro-industrial sector. It operates through the following segments: United International Enterprises Limited (UIE) and United Plantations Berhad (UP). The UIE segment invests in the agro-industrial sector as well as in selected industrial and technology businesses. The UP segment deals with the cultivation of oil palms and coconuts and processing of palm oil in Malaysia and Indonesia. The company was founded by Seri Børge Bek-Nielsen in 1982 and is headquartered in Ta Xbiex, Malta.
