Gefran SpA engages in manufacture and distribution of industrial sensors and automation systems for the electronic control of electric motors and photovoltaic systems. It operates through the following segments: Sensors, Automation Components, and Motion Control. The Sensors segment offers products for measuring temperature, pressure, position and force. The Automation Components segment deals with the following product lines: electronic regulators, static units and automation. The Motion Control segment designs and manufactures the drive and motion control unit of Gefran in Gerenzano, which consists of a wide range of drives for the speed control of the electric motors. The company was founded by Ennio Franceschetti in 1969 and is headquartered in Provaglio d'Iseo, Italy.
