The Austral Group segment includes production of fishmeal, fish oil, canned fish, and frozen fish. The Foodcorp Chile segment holds a fleet of purse-seiner vessels. The Br. Birkeland segment holds pelagic fishing licenses which are utilized by purse-seiner fishing vessels, in addition the company owns vessels with license to fish snow crab. The Br. Birkeland Farming segment holds salmon farming licenses. The Pelagia Holding segment engages in the production of fishmeal, fish oil, Omega-3 oil, frozen fish for direct human consumption; and protein concentrate and oil based on cuttings from the salmon insustry, whitefish industry, and pelagic cuttings. The company was founded by Helge Arvid Mogster, Ole Rasmus Mogster, and Alf Mogster on April 14, 1981 and is headquartered in Storebo, Norway.
